Alliance Scholarships

Scholarship Application Process
- Eligible students of the MBA programme may submit the Application Form for Scholarship in the prescribed format with original testimonials / documents / transcripts / marks cards etc.
- Eligible students of the Undergraduate programmes may submit the Application Form for Scholarship in the prescribed format with original testimonials / documents / transcripts / marks cards etc.
Definitions:
- Differently Abled: Applicable as per the provisions of the RPwD Act, 2016 to all the categories of disabilities identified. A student with 40% permanent disability of the mentioned categories and with a Unique Disability ID from the Government of India will be considered for the scholarship.
- Defence and Paramilitary Quota: Serving personnel; ex-servicemen; retired personnel and deceased personnel or their dependents from Indian Army, Indian Navy, Indian Air Force, Coast Guard, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Border Security Force (BSF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Railway Protection Force (RPF), National Security Guards (NSG), Special Frontier Force (SFF), Assam Riffles, Border Road Organization / General Reserve Engineer Force (GREF), Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO), Military Engineers Service (MES) and Defense Security Corps (DSC).
- Sports International Level: A player who has represented India in any International Sports Competitions approved by Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports / SAI / IOA / FISU / National Federation of Concerned Games approved by Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports / Association of Indian Universities/ School Games Federation of India. The student must obtain a certificate from the concerned authorities of the sport. The candidate should have participated and won in the International level sports / games conducted by the competent authority.
- Sports National Level: A student who has represented for the state in any competition conducted between the last two consecutive calendar years at the national level in Individual / Teams approved by the Ministry of Sports/ Sports Federation / AIU. The student must obtain a certificate from the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports / National Federation/ Board of concerned games only. The candidate should have participated and won in the National level sports/ games conducted by the competent authority.
- Domicile: The student should have studied and passed in one or more Government / Government recognized educational institutions located in the State of Karnataka for a minimum period of SEVEN academic years commencing from 1st standard to 2nd PUC / 12th standard as on 1st July of the year in which the candidate is seeking admissions to and must have appeared and passed either SSLC / 10th standard or 2nd PUC / 12th standard examination from Karnataka State. In case of the candidate who has taken more than one year to pass a class or standard, the year of academic study is counted as one year only.
Guidelines
- An applicant is allowed to apply for the scholarship only under one category / discipline. Only a single scholarship can be availed by a student for the entire duration of the programme.
- Scholarships are subject to availability. Students will be awarded scholarships on a first-come-first-served basis within each category that they are eligible for.
- Students must continue the study at Alliance University the academic year for which the scholarship is offered. The scholarship cannot be deferred or transferred.
- Applicants must complete and submit the online application form available on our website. Ensure all required fields are filled out accurately and completely along with all the required documents. Incomplete applications will not be processed.
- It is the responsibility of the student to submit all the original and supporting documents along with the scholarship form. Incomplete applications will not be processed.
- All mentioned details provided by the student in the scholarship form must be accurate. If the information at any point in time is found to be incorrect / insufficient, the scholarship, if granted, will automatically be cancelled.
- Students must participate in the Alliance Selection Process (Admission Process) to be selected for any of the programmes.
- Post selection, the student must register for the programme to be eligible for applying for the Alliance Scholarships.
- Scholarship applications only determine students eligibility to apply for the scholarship. This in no way guarantees that the scholarship applied for will be awarded. Alliance Vidya Spandana scholarship committee will determine whether the scholarship can be awarded or not.
- Applications must be submitted by the specified deadline. Late submissions will not be considered..
- Scholarships are applicable to the first-installment tuition fees. Scholarship will be subject to the condition that the student consistently maintaining an academic record of minimum 6.5 points / GPA throughout the programme and subject to the decision made by the Alliance Scholarship Committee. There should not be any backlog in any of the semester during the entire programme of study. (Not applicable to Alliance Vidya Spandana scholarship)
- Students should not have any gap / break in academics during the programme.
- Students should not have indulged in any activity which attracts disciplinary action; if so the scholarship will be withdrawn.
- Performance only in qualifying entry level examination held in the two previous academic years before admission will be considered.
- Continuation of the sports scholarship in subsequent years is subject to satisfactory contribution to the sporting activities of the University. Scholarship applicants will be awarded based on their past academic excellence, financial need and extracurricular activities.
- The final list of scholarships granted for all programmes across categories would be announced post commencement of academic sessions. For the students who would be awarded one time scholarships, the amount would be adjusted against the last instalments, as per the fee payment schedule.
- The decisions of the Scholarship Committee are final, binding and not subject to appeal.
APPLICATION PROCESS
- Participate in the Alliance Selection Process (Admission Process) and get selected.
- Complete registration formalities for the chosen programme.
- Determine whether you meet the eligibility criteria for the scholarships and provide all necessary supporting documents.
- Download the scholarship application form from Alliance University’s website and complete the necessary formalities.
- Scholarship application will only be considered when submitted to the Scholarship Committee, Alliance University, Chandapura - Anekal Main Road, Bengaluru – 562 106, Karnataka, India or emailed to scholarship.au@alliance.edu.in. No other correspondence address or email ID will be considered on or before the prescribed deadline.
- The scholarship committee shall evaluate each application and communicate the award after a personal interview of the applicants.
- Stay updated with notifications from the University.
CONDITIONS FOR SCHOLARSHIP RENEWAL
- Students must maintain a minimum 6.5 points / GPA and above each semester during the programme
- No backlogs in any of the semesters during the entire programme of study at the University.
- Students must refrain from activities which result in disciplinary action.
- Application for renewal of scholarship must be done on or before 30th July of every academic year with a copy of all previous semester mark sheets.
- Students should not have a gap in academics during the programme of their study.
