Prof. Ramanna Shetty has been in academia with more than two decades of experience in teaching under-graduate and post-graduate levels. He was an administrator for more than a decade for various under-graduate programs at Alliance University.  He has a doctoral degree in Economics from the National Institute of Technology, Karnataka (NITK). He holds a Master’s degree in Economics and Marketing. He has completed his M.Phil in Entrepreneurship. His current research interest is in the area of trade and development, particularly global economic policy changes and their impact on the domestic economies. He is an active member of the Bangalore Management Association.

His areas of teaching and research interests are Managerial Economics, Macroeconomics, International Economics, and Monetary Economics.
