TEDxAllianceUniversity "Beyond Boundaries" stands testimony to Alliance University's commitment to pushing the boundaries to further the cause of learning and its transformational impact on people, communities, and societies. Given that Alliance envisions itself as a hub of art, culture and ideas, there is a natural alignment with TED's mission of platforming ideas worth spreading. Indeed, the theme of 'Beyond Boundaries' resonates strongly with the university philosophy of embracing the proliferating diversity of specializations while keeping an eye on the unity of all knowledge. The theme 'Beyond Boundaries' with a) Inclusion and Diversity; b) Women in Leadership Roles; and c) Building a resilient workforce through skill-based education as the 'talk points' for the introductory TEDx event is scheduled for Saturday, January 21, 2023, at the University Campus at Anekal.
Recent developments in the academic discourse are not on disciplinary silos but on breaking down the rigid boundaries between disciplines and bringing in more fluidity and permeability. The Theme "Beyond Boundaries" takes up the challenge of transcending boundaries at the contemporary juncture and uncovering new knowledge, which stands at an alchemical meeting point of several disciplines. Through the TEDxAllianceUniversity event, we wish to inspire our student community to broaden their knowledge and perspectives while also driving them to think differently so all stakeholders' benefit. Our goal with this endeavor is to propel ideas into action on our stage through power narratives to understand human complexities and challenges to sustainable growth. At Alliance, we steadfastly uphold our commitment to shaping lives through scholarly teaching and learning, and that which contributes to an equitable and holistic transformation of society at large.

Ashish Raorane is an Indian cross-country rally pilot. Marine engineer turned professional cross-country motorcycle rallyist, He is among the very few Indians who have participated in the Dakar Rally, the worlds toughest rally raid event as a privateer. The Malle Moto class (privateer) that he competed in is for those who seek a pure test of spirit and endurance. Its One man, One bike and a box of tools. 14 days and 8000 kilometers of hard racing. Ashish Raorane has pushed beyond limits mentally and physically with sheer determination and courage to compete at this level.

Candida Louis is an Indian girl from Hubli, Karnataka who has ridden across India and has over 3,00,000 kms of biking to her credit. She is the only Indian woman biker to have completed her incredible journey from Bangalore to Sydney and has traversed across more than 35 countries. She has also led motorcycle tours in seven countries. She has been featured on BBC, NatGeo, Outlook Traveller, CNN, and was recently felicitated with the 'Karnataka Women Achievers Award'.

Lt. Col. Rohit Mishra (Rtd.)

Lt. Col. Rohit Mishra served for more than two decades in the Indian Army before opting for premature retirement. An alumnus of Delhi University and the Officers Training Academy, Lt. Col. Rohit is known for his out of the box thinking and innovative solutions. He founded ‘Mission Fightback’ with a friend who shared a similar passion to make a difference in the society aimed at empowering the girl child through self-defence and self-confidence. The project aims to take the self-defence training module across the country.

Ruchir Falodiya is committed to making a difference in people’s lives and is contributing by working with one of the biggest corporate houses of India- the ‘Tatas’ in their retail division. An alumnus of the MBA program at Alliance University, Ruchir joined Titan and later went on to be part of various businesses at Tata Retail.

Saiwyn Quadras is an Indian screenwriter, who has written the biopics such as 'Mary Kom' and 'Neerja'. He was also the writer of 'Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran'. His upcoming film as a writer is 'Maidaan' starring Ajay Devgn. He has been professionally writing for the last 15 years and is involved in writing for multiple films and web projects.
