In the ever-evolving tech and innovation realm, the Alliance College of Engineering and Design, in collaboration with Google Developer Student Clubs, hosted Tackathon 2023. This event served as an internal hackathon, a gateway to the prestigious Smart India Hackathon (SIH-2023), a nationwide initiative by the Indian government.
Smart India Hackathon (SIH-2023): More Than Just a Competition
Smart India Hackathon isn't your typical competition; it's a powerful platform fostering innovation, problem-solving, and collaborative thinking. The students who participated in Tackathon-2023 proposed ingenious solutions that left everyone in awe, sparking enthusiasm and showcasing their innovative prowess. It wasn't merely a competition; it was the conduit through which ideas metamorphosed into real-world solutions.
Preparation and Selection
The journey to Tackathon-2k23 began with team registrations on September 2, 2023. A total of 48 teams eagerly signed up, with 36 teams presenting their outstanding solutions to our esteemed panel of judges. The cutoff for participation was set at an impressive 30 out of 50, leading to the selection of 28 teams to represent us at the national level in the Smart India Hackathon, organized by the Government of India.
Judging Criteria: Excellence in 10 Dimensions
Students' submissions were rigorously evaluated on ten key parameters: Novelty of Idea, Complexity of the Problem, Clarity of the Statement, Methodology Utilized, Feasibility, Practicality, Sustainability, Scale of Impact, User Experience, and the Potential for Future Progression.
