Dr. Mohan Krishna S., Assistant Professor, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Alliance College of Engineering and Design, Alliance University, attended the Energy Security and Chemical Engineering Congress (ESChE 2019) organized by the Centre of Excellence for Advanced Research in Fluid Flow (CARiFF), Universiti Malaysia Pahang held from 17 – 19 July 2019. In addition to presenting his research, he was also the session chair. ESChE 2019 is a biennial conference held in partnership with King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok, Thailand, Nguyen Tat Thanh University, Vietnam, University of Madras and AMET University.
Dr. Mohan Krishna chaired a session on Green Technology and presented his research paper entitled Techno-economics of sustainable energy development from Coal. There were eminent speakers across the world from top universities like the University of Science and Technology of Hanoi, University Sains Malaysia, Curtin University, Central Leather Research Institute (CLRI), IIT Madras and the likes. The event focused on matters of urgent importance involving energy sustainability and the contours revolved around the following themes:
- Energy security (both renewable and conventional sources)
- Sustainable development
- Green technology and material
- Chemical engineering with emphasis on sustainable development
