The Department of Aerospace Engineering, Alliance College of Engineering & Design, Alliance University arranged VAYU-ASTRA, an Intra-University Kahoot Quiz Contest on behalf of the Aero-Mech Club of the College on the 19th of May 2023. The contest was organized by Prof. Gisa G S, Assistant Professor at Alliance College of Engineering & Design along with student volunteers of Semester VI of Aerospace Engineering. 70 students from across the Alliance College of Engineering and Design participated in the event.

The event started with a registration and the contest kicked off with a welcome address by Ms. Harshitha B Masur. The rules and regulations of the contest were announced by the student volunteer Ms. Spandana Vinod. The exciting event of the Kahoot Quiz was beautifully coordinated by Mr. Manne Muddu Shyam Venkat. The administrative work for the event was carried out by Mr. Manohar R and Mr. B. Sudeep Kumar Achari. All students of Semester VI of Aerospace Engineering.

The main objective of the Kahoot Quiz Contest was to churn up the young minds of students. Quizzes help one gain a broad understanding of a subject and it simplifies the understanding process and improves the grasping ability of students. Kahoot is a fun learning platform for playing and learning in the form of quizzes. Students show great interest in answering questions in a limited time frame and it judges the participants based on time and accuracy.

The topics for the quiz contest were: history of aviation; Asia and its nuclear warheads; pilot codes during emergencies; planets and their satellites; and airplane part identification. The contest was divided in three levels. Level 1 again had three rounds and 50% of the top scorers of the three rounds were shortlisted for Level 2 that had only one round from which again top 50% were shortlisted for the third and the final round. The top three scorers from Level 3 were selected as winners of 'VAYU ASTRA'. Winners of the event were awarded medals and certificates and all the participants were awarded e-certificates.

Overall, the quiz helped students learn and pick up details on the aeronautical industry and their achievements from the moment of its inaugural. By the end of the event, contestants had basic knowledge of the aeronautical industry's achievements and the important events that took place in this industry.
