A prestigious delegation from the University of Essex, UK, honoured the Alliance University - Central Campus with their esteemed visit. The delegation consisted of distinguished individuals, among them Ms. Vanessa Potter, Global Vice President of the University of Essex, and esteemed representatives from India - Mr. Sandeep Sharma, Head of Operations at the Regional International Office, and Ms. Aneesha M Pareeth, Recruitment Advisor for India.
Renowned for its academic excellence, the University of Essex holds an impressive rank of 32nd among UK universities, according to the Complete University Guide 2024. The institution also boasts a remarkable 25th position in the UK for research quality, as recognized by the Times Good University Guide 2022. Furthermore, it has achieved distinction as the 47th best institution for Law in the World University Rankings by Subject 2023. The University of Essex takes pride in its exceptional international outlook, securing a spot within the Top 25 in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2022. Additionally, it proudly claims the top position in the UK for Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs), a prestigious achievement through the flagship Innovate UK program.

Mr. Rajen Chatterjee, Director of International Affairs at Alliance University, engaged in a comprehensive discussion with Ms. Vanessa Potter, the esteemed Global Vice President of the University of Essex. Their conversations encompassed a wide array of potential collaborative ventures between Alliance University and the University of Essex. The discussions focused on areas such as Student and Faculty Mobility, as well as the possibility of Joint Research and Publications. These deliberations highlighted a profound synergy and abundant potential for academic cooperation, particularly in the fields of Law and Liberal Arts. Both parties unanimously agreed to advance their talks and formalize their partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), set to be signed in October 2023. This significant event will coincide with the anticipated visit of the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Essex, UK, to the esteemed premises of Alliance University.
During their visit, the international delegates enjoyed an enriching campus tour, where they were captivated by the breathtaking architectural marvels and the serenity of the lush campus surroundings. Ms. Vanessa Potter expressed her belief that faculty members and students from the University of Essex would greatly appreciate the opportunity to immerse themselves in the enriching environment of the Alliance University campus.
