The Institution’s Innovation Council at Alliance University hosted an event titled "The Power of Youth Entrepreneurship in Digital India." The session aimed to explore opportunities for aspiring entrepreneurs and visionaries in a rapidly changing environment. Mr D. C. Sekhar, Founder and Managing Director of AlphaMERS Ltd, was the keynote speaker.

The event began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, symbolizing the pursuit of knowledge and transformation. Mr Sekhar introduced the work of AlphaMERS Ltd, a Bangalore-based startup that has been focused on river cleanup and wave energy harnessing since its inception in the 2010s. AlphaMERS has gained recognition for its innovative solutions and has been featured in articles by CNBC and AP.

In his keynote address, Mr Sekhar discussed various topics, including innovation, problem-solving, and prioritizing simplicity over complexity. He emphasised the significance of having a clear vision for innovation rather than focusing on advertisements and funding. He highlighted the need to nurture and accept Indian startups, stating that small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and multinational corporations (MNCs) share similar paths of thinking.
