The Alliance University Legal Services Clinic (AULSC), School of Law of Alliance University as a partner Institute of Karnataka State Legal Services Authority (KSLSA) along with the Department of Empowerment of Differently Abled and Senior Citizens, Health and Family Welfare Services, NIMHANS, Narcotics Control Bureau, Police Department facilitated a State Level Workshop on "Youth Against Drugs" at the campus of Spurthy Group of Institutions.

Students from Alliance School of Law along with Alliance University Legal Services Clinic volunteers attended the event. The volunteers from Alliance University Legal Services Clinic managed many aspects of the event such registration, stage set-up, food arrangement and welcome of dignitaries. The event was graced by many judges, prominent executives, police officials and by senior members of Alliance University. The event also had participation of students from other schools and colleges. The inaugural sessions began with the address by Hon'ble Justice Shri. John Michael D. Cunha, Former Judge, High Court of Karnataka & Designated Judge heading the Committee of NALSA. Later there were multiple sessions that were presided by various specialists on the subject on drug control.

Later the crowd was addressed by guests of Honour, Dr. M.T. Reju, IAS, Principal Secretary to Government, Department of Women & Child Development, Empowerment of Differently Abled & Senior Citizens and Shri D. Randeep, IPS, Commissioner, Health and Family Welfare Services. Later multiple sessions were conducted by specialists from National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS), intelligence officers and other experts.

Other dignitaries present at the event were Smt. K.S. Lathakumari, IAS, Director Department of Empowerment of Differently Abled and Senior Citizens; Shri H. Shashidhara Shetty, Member Secretary Karnataka State Legal Services Authority; Shri Sandeep Salian, Member Secretary DLSA, Bengaluru Rural; Shri Rathan K., Intelligence Officer Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB); Dr. Rajani P., Deputy Director, Health and Family Welfare Services, and Shri P. Gopala Reddy, Chairman, Spurthy Group of Institutions.

Later a skit in Kannada regarding "Drug Awareness" was performed by the students of Alliance University. After the workshop, Dr. Kiran Dennis Gardner, Dean, Alliance School of Law, Alliance University welcomed the dignitaries to the Alliance University campus for a discussion, lunch and inspection of the activities of the Alliance University Legal Services Clinic (AULSC). The visiting team appreciated the work of students and volunteers working with the AULSC.
