Orientation Program on "Legal Ecosystem: An Immersion Experience" for B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) and BBA.LL.B. (Hons.) Batch 2023–2028

Introduction and Objective:
The Central Campus of Alliance University at Alliance School of Law organized a six-day Orientation Program from July 24th to July 31st, 2023. The program aimed to welcome and orient the newest students of B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) and BBA.LL.B. (Hons.) Batch 2023–2028. The primary objective of the program was to promote Gender Equality, ensuring that the future legal professionals are well-informed about gender-related issues, thus contributing to the eradication of gender prejudice and stereotypes in the legal profession.
Day 1: Welcoming the Students
The program commenced with a warm welcome by Professor and Dean, Dr. Kiran Dennis Gardner, and the faculty team. The emphasis on Gender Equality was emphasized as the fundamental focus of the orientation.
Day 2: Cyber Security and Human Rights
Dr. Upankar Chutia and his team conducted an insightful session on Cyber Security, emphasizing its ethical and legal impact on Human Rights.
Day 3: Right to Health and Psychological Well-being
Prof. Ritika Behl, Dr. Ashish Pathak, and Ms. Sakshi Jauhari conducted an interactive session on the Right to Health, addressing physical and psychological well-being, mental health issues, and the psychological services available at the University. Questionnaires were administered with the prior permission and consent of students, ensuring confidentiality.
Day 4: Thematic Apperception Test (TAT)
Dr. Mukul Saxena, along with a team of psychologists, introduced the Thematic Apperception Test (TAT), a psychological assessment used to understand a person's personality, motivations, beliefs, and problem-solving abilities. The top 15 TAT stories were shortlisted for final presentations on day four, and winners were selected based on their performance.
Day 5: Environment and Movie Screening
Dr. Abhishek Srivastava and Dr. Gyanashree Dutta discussed the importance of the environment and its hazards, including waste generation and pollution. The day concluded with a movie screening of "A Few Good Men," followed by students' opinions and movie reviews.
Day 6: Student Presentations and Team Awards
Students presented their understanding of the topics discussed during the week. Winning teams were awarded trophies for their unity and teamwork. Additionally, the top-performing students in the Thematic Apperception Test (TAT) and Movie Review were recognized and awarded prizes.

Conclusion:
The Orientation Program on "Legal Ecosystem: An Immersion Experience" for B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) and BBA.LL.B. (Hons.) Batch 2023–2028 was a successful and memorable event. Positive feedback from the students demonstrated the effectiveness of the program in promoting awareness, learning, and team building. The Alliance School of Law received commendation for its commitment to providing a holistic educational experience for its students.
