Alliance School of Business, Area of Finance & Accounting, recently organized a National Workshop on Investment and Tax Planning for Wealth Creation. Held at Alliance University, the workshop aimed to create awareness and provide valuable insights into investment strategies and tax planning. The Alliance School of Business, the oldest academic unit of the university, has earned a reputation among the best B-Schools in the country. It holds consistent rankings among the top B-Schools and is accredited by the International Council for Business Education (IACBE), USA. In the Times B-School Rankings 2023, Alliance School of Business secured the 12th rank among the top 100 B-Schools in India, including IIMs and other government-run business schools.

The workshop commenced on 10th June with a welcome address by Dr. Ajay Kumar Yadav, Interim Dean of Alliance School of Business. Dr. Satyendra Pratap Singh, Professor of Finance, delivered a session on "Why investments?" He provided insights into the importance of investments and their role in wealth creation.

Dr. Astha Badjatia, Assistant Professor of Finance, conducted a session on "Investment Alternatives." She discussed various investment options available in the market, enabling participants to identify suitable alternatives based on their financial goals. Dr. Abdul Hameed, Associate Professor of Finance and Area Chair & Head of Academic Operations, delved into "Tax planning & online tax filing." He enlightened participants on effective tax planning strategies and demonstrated the process of online tax filing.

Dr. Satyendra Pratap Singh returned for a demonstration session on "How to choose investments online, mutual fund selection, SGBs, etc." He provided practical guidance on navigating online investment platforms and selecting appropriate investment vehicles, including mutual funds and Sovereign Gold Bonds (SGBs).

The workshop covered topics such as investment alternatives, tax planning, and online tax filing, equipping participants with the necessary tools and insights to make informed financial decisions. With the commitment to academic excellence, the Alliance School of Business and Alliance University provided a platform for participants to enhance their understanding of wealth creation through investment and tax planning. By equipping participants with the necessary knowledge and skills, the workshop aimed to empower individuals from various domains, including faculties, academicians, research scholars, and other interested participants, to optimize their financial well-being and navigate the complexities of the financial landscape.

This workshop welcomed faculties from all domains, academicians, research scholars, and other interested participants. Upon successful completion of the workshop, registered participants received certificates, while online participants received e-certificates.
