International Delegate Visit from Universidad María Auxiliadora to Alliance University

Alliance University hosted delegates from Universidad María Auxiliadora (UMA), Lima, Peru, to discuss potential collaborations. The meeting focused on student and faculty exchanges, joint research, and training in sustainability and entrepreneurship.
UMA's Vision for Collaboration
Dr. Gladys Moran Paredes, Co-founder, CEO, and Chancellor of UMA, emphasized the institution's dedication to quality assurance, entrepreneurship, research, internationalization, and social responsibility. She outlined UMA's goal to establish 50 international collaborations in the coming year, with a significant focus on Asia. Dr. Moran expressed UMA’s interest in applied research, foreign research funding, and joint research initiatives. She proposed conducting an entrepreneurs' conference, with Alliance University as the host institution.

Dr. V.J. Byra Reddy, Dean of Academic Affairs at Alliance University, proposed several collaborative opportunities. These include semester exchange programs, study abroad options, part-time international law programs, faculty exchanges, joint research, and immersion programs in Peru and India.

Dr. V. Shyam Kishore, Professor and Interim Dean of Alliance School of Law, discussed potential collaborations in specific research areas. These areas include food fortification, policy research, health law, and nutrition research.
