On April 4, 2024, students and faculty from Alliance University's Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) Department visited EXIDE Industries Limited. The visit was organized for students enrolled in the Value-Added Course, along with Dr.Ila Rai, Prof. Manjulata Badi, and Dr. Rohit Babu from the EEE Department, to enhance students' understanding of battery manufacturing processes and industrial operations.
Visit Highlights
The visit began with a warm welcome by the EXIDE Industries team, followed by an introductory session outlining the company's history, vision, and core business areas. Key highlights included a plant tour, technical sessions on battery technology, and interactions with industry professionals.
Plant Tour
Students and faculty were guided through the manufacturing facilities, witnessing firsthand the various stages of battery production. The tour covered areas such as raw material processing, assembly lines, quality control measures, and packaging.
Technical Sessions
Experts from EXIDE Industries conducted informative sessions on battery technology, covering lead-acid batteries, lithium-ion technology, and emerging trends in energy storage. These sessions provided valuable insights into battery performance, maintenance, and recycling processes.
