The General Counsel Meet held at the Alliance University campus proved to be a huge success with over 200 participants from various law faculties attending the event. Organized by the Office of Career Advancement and Networking and the Alliance School of Law, the conclave's theme was "White Collar Under Black Coats."

The event started with an inspiring inaugural address by Dr. Kiran Dennis Gardner, Dean of Alliance School of Law, setting the tone for the insightful discussions to follow. The panellists for the day were some of the leading general counsels and heads of legal with large and established corporate houses. Their extensive experience and knowledge made for some lively and engaging panel discussions that covered various topics relevant to the legal industry.

The first panel discussion was on "Integrating Corporate Expectations and Legal Process." The panellists included Mr. Vijayshyam Acharya, Global Head of Legal & Company Secretary at Quest Global; Ms. Jyothi V K, General Counsel and Vice President at Aditya Birla Fashion & Retail; Mr. Burhan Khalid, Legal Head at Britannia Industries; and Mr. Shine Joy, Senior Corporate Counsel at Amazon. The panel was moderated by Ms. Denise Gardner, Head of Legal, Secretarial and Compliance at Licious. The second panel discussion was on "Journey, Insight, and Future." The panellists included Mr. P M Saikrishnan, Managing Associate General Counsel and Head Of Legal Services at HSBC; Mr. Al Rafeeq Moideen, Chief General Manager (Legal) at MRPL-ONGC; Ms. Smitha Chandrasekar, Legal Director at Harman International; and Mr. Vinod Kumar Bhaskaran, Head Legal at Arcolabs. This panel was moderated by Ms. Joylashmi Das, General Counsel at ITW Group.

The discussions were lively, engaging, and informative, providing valuable insights into the industry's current trends, expectations, and challenges. The panellists shared their experiences and knowledge, offering valuable guidance and advice to the young law students and professionals in attendance.

The event ended with a vote of thanks by Dr. Mukul Saxena, Professor & Director, Center for PG & Legal Studies & Center for Leadership & Public Policy, Alliance School of Law. The event was a tremendous success, leaving the participants with a wealth of information and insights that they can apply in their careers.
