Emotionally Empowered Living: A Workshop on Emotional Resilience at Alliance University
21 January, 2025

The Centre for Counselling and Health Services, under the Department of Student Support Services at Alliance University, hosted a transformative workshop titled "Emotionally Empowered Living" aimed at equipping students with essential tools to navigate emotional challenges, build resilience, and enhance their coping strategies.
Understanding and Managing Emotions
Recognising the vital role of emotional well-being in personal and academic success, the workshop focused on empowering students with techniques to understand and manage their emotions effectively. The sessions provided a safe and supportive space for participants to explore emotional intelligence and its impact on mental health and overall well-being.
Interactive Activities and Practical Learning
The event offered engaging activities designed for hands-on learning and emotional growth. One such activity, the Emotional Kit Challenge, encouraged students to create personalised "emotional kits" tailored for different scenarios, helping them develop proactive strategies for managing emotions in daily life. Another highlight, the Case Study Challenge, had participants analyse real-life-inspired situations and devise practical solutions, enhancing their problem-solving skills and emotional adaptability. These interactive exercises provided students with the opportunity to apply their learning tangibly, fostering both self-awareness and emotional resilience.
Fostering Balance and Emotional Strength
The workshop emphasised the significance of recognising emotions while maintaining balance. Through expert-led discussions and reflective sessions, students gained valuable insights into managing stress, practicing mindfulness, and building emotional strength to navigate life's challenges effectively.
Conclusion
The workshop successfully empowered students with self-awareness and emotional strength, reinforcing Alliance University's commitment to holistic student development. The event was supported by Mathew Thankachan, Sakshi Jauhari, Arathi Jose, and the Youth for Mental Health initiative.
