Dr Raja Munusamy, an Associate Professor in the Aerospace Department at Alliance University, recently participated in the prestigious International Conference on Defence Technology & Invited Talks (ICDT) 2024, held in Xi'an, China, from 23rd to 25th September 2024.

Sponsored by the China Ordnance Society and the Editorial Office of Defence Technology, the conference brought together researchers and professionals to discuss cutting-edge advancements in defence technology.

Presentation and Recognition

At the conference, Dr Munusamy presented his research on the "Design and Simulation of an Integrated Multifunctional Swarming Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) for Defence Applications." 

Conducted under the supervision of China North Industries Group Corporation Limited, the research explores how UAS swarms can enhance situational awareness, surveillance, and tactical operations in defence. His presentation was well-received, earning him the Best Oral Presentation Award under the "Autonomous Technology" forum.

ICDT 2024 allowed Dr Munusamy to interact with global leaders in the field of defence technology. He engaged in discussions with prominent figures such as Guoxing Lu, President of the International Society of Impact Engineering, Clive Woodley, Executive Editor-in-Chief of Defence Technology, and Vincent Tan, Assistant Professor at the National University of Singapore.
