The event commenced with a Leadership meet at 10:00 AM, graced by the esteemed presence of Mr. Abhay G. Chebbi, Pro-Chancellor, Dr. B. Priestly Shan, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Academic Affairs), Dr. Jeevanandam J, Executive Director of Technology-Enabled Learning. Deans from ASOL, ACED, faculty members from ASOB, ASLA, and Blended Learning Coordinators joined forces with the Coursera team. Together, they delved into diverse facets of blended learning and its integration into Alliance University's curriculum for the advancement of industry-relevant skills. The discussion revolved around strategies to enhance student engagement for skill enrichment and leveraging industry certifications to augment students' employability.
The Main Event: Empowering Students through Upskilling
The main event commenced at 10:45 AM, drawing participation from over 200 students across all the schools at Alliance University. Coursera's team began by introducing the significance of upskilling for students. Subsequently, an engaging fireside chat session ensued with Dr. Jeevanandam J, Executive Director of Technology-Enabled Learning at Alliance University, and Mr. Bibin Shivas, Regional Director at Coursera. They not only fielded students' stimulating questions but also provided guidance on optimizing the digital learning experience.
