We are delighted to share that Mr. Abhay Chebbi, Pro-Chancellor of Alliance University, received The Economic Times TechEDU India Award 2024 under the category of Progressive Digital Leadership Award for Chancellor & Head of Institutions (Pvt & Deemed) at the Sahara Star in Mumbai on March 7, 2024.

In one of the panel discussions titled 'Cracking the Code: Conquering the Frontier of Immersive Learning in Tech Education,' Mr. Abhay examined the potential of immersive learning (powered by VR and AR) in revolutionizing education.

The discussions explored what immersive learning might look like ten years from now, particularly in terms of its role in preparing students for the workforce—from virtual surgeries aiding medical students to virtual labs enhancing the learning experiences of engineering students. Acknowledging the challenges and ethical considerations around AI, he discussed how immersive learning is positioned to reshape education, equipping graduates for job readiness.

In a roundtable discussion centered on the evolution of examinations in the digital era, he explored the driving forces behind this transition, stressed the importance of ensuring secure and reliable online assessments, and spoke about strategies such as implementing robust authentication protocols and proactive plagiarism detection mechanisms.

Additionally, he emphasized the importance of striking a balance between security and student privacy regarding the future of online examinations and highlighted the necessity of transparency, inclusivity for individuals from diverse backgrounds, and enhancing security measures as imperative factors in cultivating trust and equity in online assessments.
