The Marketrix: Marketing Club (Business) at the Alliance School of Business, Alliance University, organised "Business Nexus," an initiative to support small and medium enterprises (SMEs) within a 20-kilometre radius of the university. The event aimed to identify challenges faced by these businesses and provide practical solutions to address them.
Participation and Process
Eighteen teams from across the university, each comprising five members, participated in the event. Over one month, students collaborated with local SMEs to assist them in areas such as revenue improvement, cost reduction, brand visibility, online traffic, digital marketing, and promotional materials. Eight teams advanced to the final round, where they presented solution-driven suggestions to a panel of judges and an audience of 200.

The winners of the event were:
- First Place: Brand Builders - Mohammed Sajid Shaik and Jeevan G (MBA II Semester, Marketing)
- Second Place: Team Orchid - Manisha Singh, Sushmita Sen, Seya Kenkre, and Charvi Mynampally (BBA III Semester)

This initiative contributed to the UNDP’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 8 and 9, focusing on decent work, economic growth, industry, innovation, and infrastructure. It aligned with CSR objectives under Section 135 of the Companies Act by providing free consultations to SMEs unable to afford professional experts. The event also offered students an opportunity to enhance entrepreneurial, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
