In line with its commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Alliance University organised an Awareness Session on Alcohol and Drugs at Hakki Pikki Village, Bannerghatta National Park, Bengaluru Rural. The session aimed to raise awareness about the dangers of alcohol and drug abuse and promote healthier lifestyle choices among the villagers.
Session Overview
The awareness session saw the active participation of over 60 villagers, who gathered to gain insights into the harmful effects of alcohol and drugs. The session was conducted in collaboration with the Alliance Alumni Association and the NSS wing. Dr Lingaraju G, General Manager and Counsellor at the De-Addiction and Counselling Centre, TREDA, was invited as the keynote speaker. He shared valuable information on addiction prevention and the available resources for those seeking help.
Address by Dr Viswanathaiah Matam
Dr Viswanathaiah Matam, Registrar of Alliance University, also addressed the gathering. In his speech, he highlighted the importance of such initiatives in improving community health and well-being. He encouraged the villagers to actively participate in such awareness programmes to help create a healthier and more informed community.
