Alliance University Signs MoU with Fujian Provincial Department of Education, China on 14th August 2018

To strengthen the educational exchanges and cooperation between China and India; Alliance University, Bengaluru, India and Fujian Provincial Department of Education, the People's Republic of China has reached a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) regarding educational exchange and cooperation on 14th August 2018.
Indeed it was a memorable day for both parties and countries to promote education in various fields on the pre-independence day of India.
The event began with lamp lighting that according to the delegates was the beginning of a new relationship between Alliance University and the Fujian Provincial Department of Education, China.
Dr. Anubha Singh, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Alliance University in her address mentioned that it was the continuous endeavour of the University to increase ways of engagement and contribution through collaborations. She mentioned that the MoU between Alliance University and the Education Department of Fujian Province of China will have major takeaways such as:
- Engagement - Mobility of faculty, staff and students
- Employability - Work with Chinese industries and meet the global standards
- Research and Scholarships
Mr. Hu Changsheng, member of the standing committee and Head of the Organisation, Communist Party of China, Fujian Provincial Committee, People’s Republic of China who led the Chinese delegation to India praised the infrastructure of Alliance University. He shared the story of the monk who travelled to India to learn Buddhism which is usually termed as “Journey to the West” in the Chinese culture. The belief is that the monk was the first scholar to India from China. The collaboration according to him is an extension of the monk’s journey.
He mentioned that India and China are similar in terms of population and are among developing nations of the world. Hence it is very essential for both the countries to open up for harmony and progress. 89 Institutions are part of the province of Fujian among which few categorise as top colleges and universities in the world.
As Alliance University with its excellent intellectual capability is marching out seeking for cooperation, the MoU would enable more universities in the Chinese region to collaborate with Alliance University.
