Alliance University Signs Expression of Interest with DADB, Germany for Academic Collaboration in Emerging Technologies

As part of its on-going efforts to equip its students with the cutting-edge technological expertise that is in demand by various industries, Alliance College of Engineering and Design (ACED), Alliance University signed an Expression of Interest with the Deutsche Akademie für Digitale Bildung (DADB), Germany.
DADB possesses technical expertise in a variety of fast-growing and highly sought-after fields such as, Advanced 5G Communication Networks, Electromobility, Battery Cell Production, Internet of Things (IoT), Advanced System Engineering, Renewable Energies, Additive Manufacturing, Artificial Intelligence, and Data Science.
Both ACED and DADB strive to collaborate academically on the creation of curricula and content for relevant engineering courses. In addition, the collaboration will work towards the establishment of electives in engineering degree programmes as well as specialty courses that emphasize on international co-operation. The collaboration will also result in implementation of DADB's courses in a cutting-edge learning format that will be conducted by German professors and industry professionals. Finally, this collaboration will bring about the internationalization of the institution and provide support to students for internships and summer/winter school-oriented training.
This collaboration comes against the backdrop of a growing need for Engineering graduates upskill in emerging technology areas such as, 5G Telecommunications, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, etc. This collaboration will be of great benefit to the College of Engineering and Design, and will seek to prepare graduates for the needs and demands currently being put forth by industries.
Deutsche Akademie für Digitale Bildung (DADB), Germany will provide an advantage to the students, by sharing the research knowledge they have gained over the years. The collaboration will also encourage students to rise to the challenges that the constantly evolving technological world will throw at them, as well as embody the ethos of creating Engineering Graduates of the future, ready to enlarge their vision and use their problem-solving skills effectively in the market.
The signing of the agreement happened in the presence of Dr. Reeba Korah, Professor & Interim Dean, ACED, Dr. Aby K. Thomas, Professor, Department of Electronics & Communications Engineering and Mr. Rajen Chatterjee, Director, Office of International Affairs from Alliance University, and Dr.-Ing. Carsten S. Schröder, Chief Executive Officer & Co-Founder, Mr. Torsten Herfert, Business Development, Investor and Mr. Neelesh Reddy Lankireddy, Director India, from DADB.
