The Alliance University, inaugurated and launched the Alliance College of Commerce—a new academic unit of Alliance University, on Thursday July 26, 2012. In his inaugural address to the founding alumni of Alliance College of Commerce, Alliance University, Chancellor shared the vision of the University and inspired in them the quest for learning and scholarship, while stressing that Alliance University will spare no effort in grooming its graduates, not only in their chosen disciplines, but also in exhorting them to broaden their mindsets and create positive attitudes. Thus equipping them with all the qualities of passionate, ethical and enlightened leaders who differentiate themselves as value creators, and strive to set enviable standards of excellence in the organization that they may join.

Director, Alliance College of Commerce, Dr. Rekhakala welcomed the new batch of students enrolled in the Bachelor of Commerce (Honors) course, while highlighting its curriculum uniqueness and the offer of value added certification programs to the students, aimed at creating well-rounded and skilled graduates in commerce and finance. The Chief Guest at the inaugural, Mr. Bidhan Chandra Roy, Vice President, Royal Bank of Scotland, Bangalore congratulated the students on their successful enrollment to the College, and shared practitioner insights from professional practice in banking and finance, while emphasizing on the acquisition of strong subject-matter expertise and skill development for a graduate at the undergraduate level to achieve success in a chosen career later.
