Alliance University's Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) and Information Technology (IT) organized a transformative workshop titled "Computer Vision 2.0, VisionGen: Exploring Computer Vision and Generative AI" on April 12-13, 2024. Held in collaboration with Sahaj AI Software Solutions Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore, the event aimed to provide participants with practical insights into image segmentation, classification, and Generative AI.
Workshop Overview:
The workshop, coordinated by Dr. Saswati Debnath, Assistant Professor at the Department of CSE, and Dr. K Ramalakshmi, Deputy HoD I/C (CSE specialization), offered a hands-on learning environment over two days on April 12th and 13th, 2024.
Theme and Objectives:
Under the theme "VisionGen: Exploring Computer Vision and Generative AI," the workshop aimed to foster social impact by developing innovative technical solutions to societal needs. Participants were engaged in practical activities focusing on the real-world applicability of computer vision and Generative AI models.
Resource Persons:
The workshop featured three esteemed resource persons from Sahaj Software Solutions Pvt. Ltd., who provided expert guidance and hands-on training to the students.
- Mr. Suman Paul Choudhury: A Data Science Solution consultant with extensive experience in Computer Vision, Deep Learning, and Machine Learning. He shared insights from his projects spanning various domains, including fintech and retail.
- Ms. Preethi Srinivasan: A Data Science Solution consultant specializing in computer vision and multi-modal learning. Her expertise in deep learning techniques contributed to solving complex problems such as video summarization and X-ray report generation.
- Mr. Sachin Kumar Yadav: Another Data Science Solution consultant with a rich background in leading data science roles across different industries, including e-commerce and finance.
