Alliance University Hosts Two-Day Faculty Development Program for Leadership and Emotional Intelligence Enhancement

In a bid to empower academic leaders and foster emotional intelligence among faculty members, Alliance University conducted a two-day Faculty Development Program (FDP) on the 28th and 29th of November. The program, attended by over 35 faculty members and doctoral scholars from four university schools, aimed to enhance leadership skills and emotional intelligence.
Lollipop Moments: Unveiling Leadership Potential
The FDP commenced with an introspective exercise on 'Lollipop Moments,' encouraging participants to reflect on instances of positive impact in their lives. This activity aimed to instill self-awareness and uncover latent leadership potential within each participant. The exploration of 'Emotion Management' followed, guiding attendees in understanding the forces shaping their lives and aligning actions with core values, prompting contemplation of life's direction.

Throughout the program, participants engaged in various activities such as the 'Strength Cards' exercise, providing a platform to assess personal strengths and weaknesses for effective leadership leverage. The 'Art Therapy' session emphasized a holistic approach to personal development, promoting emotional well-being and stress relief. The ' Psychology of Winning ' session explored strategies for cultivating success mindsets and achieving personal goals.
A highlight of the FDP was the 'Emotional Quotient Test,' offering participants insights into their emotional intelligence levels. Scientific insights and practical exercises for cultivating positivity were shared in the 'Happiness' session. The program also delved into 'Leadership as a Change Agent,' using a video presentation to emphasize the crucial role leaders play in driving positive transformations within academia.
