Alliance University was chosen as one of the nodal centers for the Space Science and Technology Awareness Training (START) 2024 program by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). The program, inaugurated by Dr. S. Somanath, Chairman of ISRO, aimed to ignite curiosity and foster interest among undergraduate and postgraduate students in space exploration missions.
Educational Objectives
The main objective of the training program is to attract young minds to the fields of space science and technology. The training modules include introductory-level topics covering various verticals of space science and technology. Additionally, sessions focusing on the Indian space exploration program and research opportunities are included to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the domain.
Collaborative Effort
Alliance University hosted 60 participants, overseen by Prof. Gisa G. S., the nodal coordinator of Alliance University, in the presence of Dr. Sudhir Kumar Chaturvedi, Professor and HOD of Aerospace Engineering, Alliance College of Engineering and Design, and Dr. Raja Munusamy, Associate Professor at Alliance College of Engineering and Design.
