Alliance University Hosts a Thought-Provoking Legal Research Essay Writing Competition

The Alliance Centre for Criminal Justice Administration and Gender Studies (ACCJAGS) organized a Legal Research Essay Writing Competition on Criminal Law 2024 held under the guidance of Dr. V. Shyam Kishore, Dean of Alliance School of Law, aimed to encourage critical analysis and discussion on the intersection of women and criminal law in India.
Theme Selection and Participants' Engagement
The theme, 'Women and Criminal Law in India: An Analytical and Critical Study,' was selected through a draw of lots from four pre-determined sub-themes. Participants demonstrated their exceptional writing abilities and subject knowledge, showcasing insightful essays without external aid and providing a platform for students to examine contemporary issues in criminal law and gender justice.
Guest Speaker's Address
Dr. Mukul Saxena, Professor and Director, Centre of Excellence in Public Policy, Sustainability, and ESG Research and Centre for PG and Legal Studies, Alliance School of Law, talked about the importance of critical thinking and quality research in addressing complex legal issues.
