The Office of Career Advancement & Networking, Alliance University brought together eminent business leaders from across industry sectors to hold the Alliance HR Virtual Conclave on September 25, 2020. The session saw participation from over 1000 members in the audience representing a diverse group of industry professionals and students, alumni, faculty and staff members from Alliance University and other peer institutes.

The Alliance HR Conclave 2020 was an amalgamation on the best minds in the industry from sectors such as aviation, FMCG, manufacturing, logistics, technology, pharma, retail, mining and energy.

Themed ‘Fostering a Collaborative Workforce for the Next Decade’, the conclave witnessed power packed sessions by an illustrious panel of speakers.

The conclave began with a welcome note from Dr. Anubha Singh, Acting Vice-Chancellor and Pro Vice-Chancellor, Alliance University who welcomed all the speakers and set the stage for conclave by sharing her views on the collaborative work environment. The inaugural address by Mr. Raj Raghavan, Senior Vice President and Head - Human Resources, Indigo Airlines was about creating business excellence through collaboration. This was followed by the keynote address by Dr. Jayant Kumar, Joint President – HR, Adani Ports and SEZ Ltd. who spoke on building a collaborative work environment.

The conclave also had two thought-provoking panel discussions; the first one was on ‘employment infrastructure of the future’ and had Mr. Madhu Sundar M.S., Vice President, Dr. Reddy's Laboratories; Ms. Monika Marwah, University Hiring Leader - Asia Pacific & Japan, NCR Corporation; Mr. Rohit Jindal, Head - Human Resources, Hygienic Research Institute Private Limited; Mr. Sandeep Batra, Chief Human Resource Officer, Landmark Group; Mr. Surya Prakash Mohapatra, Global Head - Talent Transformation & Global Practice Head, Wipro; Mr. Warner Jude, Associate Director - Talent Acquisition, Cognizant, as the panelists. The first panel discussion was moderated by Dr. Ray Titus, Professor & Dean – Alliance School of Business, Alliance University.

The last session of the conclave was a closing note on ‘the HR & Business Duet - collaborations for success’ which had Mr. Sajiv Sankar, Team Leader - Human Resources, Saint-Gobain India Private Limited and Mr. Gopi Krishnan TM, Business Head (India, Middle East, Asia-Pacific), Vetrotech Saint-Gobain as panelists. The session was moderated by Dr. Mukul Saxena, Professor and Director – Alliance Center for Leadership & Public Policy, Alliance School of Law, Alliance University.

The session concluded on a great note with amazing comments and reviews from all participants. With virtual sessions that were organized and hosted on an online platform, the Alliance HR Conclave 2020 was a reflection of its theme on collaborative workforce in true sense.
