Alliance University recognized the accomplishments of former students through the Alliance Alumni Global Awards 2023. The awards were a celebration of the wonderful things that the alumni of Alliance have achieved over the years in various professions and were presented for the outstanding achievements of remarkable alumni of Alliance who have made a significant impact in their respective fields. Nominations were invited from all alumni for the Alliance Alumni Global Awards 2023 for which over 100+ entries were received.

The task of selecting the awardees was challenging for the jury members who dedicated their time and expertise to ensure a fair and thorough evaluation process. The jury comprised of Dr. Ray Titus, Professor, Alliance School of Business; Dr. V. Shyam Kishore, Professor & Associate Dean - Academics and Research, Alliance School of Law; and Dr. Shekhar R, Deputy Head of Department - Computer Science & Engineering, Alliance College of Engineering and Design.

Based on the inputs from the jury, the Alliance Alumni Global Awards 2023 were presented in the categories of Social Justice and Community Impact; Arts & Performance; Entrepreneurship; Academic Excellence; Professional Achievement; and Contributions to Alma Mater. Each of the awards also carried a cash prize of Rs.25,000 sponsored by the Guddappa & Girija Angur Foundation.

Monalisa Thakur from the PGPM Class of 2011 was presented the Alliance Alumni Global Award 2023 for Outstanding Achievement in the field of Social Justice / Community Service. She is the Co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer of Tummoc, which is India’s only patented transit tech application with multimodal journey planning and ticketing options. Her enterprise today employs many individuals and helps thousands of commuters to find their easiest and most economic means of transport each day and is working towards simplifying the lives of common people.

P Chandrasekhar also known as P C Sekhar from the MCA Class of 2004 was presented the Alliance Alumni Global Award 2023 for Outstanding Achievement in Arts & Performing Arts. He is an Indian Film Writer, Editor and Director, who has many Kannada movies such as Humsey Hai Jahaan, Romeo, Chaddi Dosth, Arjuna, Style King, Raaga, Love Birds, and Naayaka to his credit. His debut film in Tamil ‘Kadhale en Kadhale’ won the best movie for ‘portrayal of women in good light’.

The Alliance Alumni Global Award 2023 for Outstanding Young Entrepreneur was presented to Niranjan Subbarao from MBA Class of 1999. As the Co-Founder and CEO of Cyclops Medtech, he is an enterprising and inspiring leader who has been felicitated with many awards by corporate forums and the government at national and international level. His venture, in a very short span of time has touched lives of 1.5 million people across 13 different countries.

The Alliance Alumni Global Award 2023 for for Academic Excellence was presented to Priyanka Srivastava from the PGDM Class of 2006. As a mother, scholar, consultant, and mentor, she has been associated with top-notch companies and institutions across the world. Currently, she is a Full-Professor of Marketing and Analytics at Hult International Business School that is ranked 55th globally.

Madhusudhan Chakravarthi from the MBA Class of 1999 was presented the Alliance Alumni Global Award 2023 for Outstanding Professional Achievement. He is the Managing Director at Accenture and leads the Global Delivery and Engagement out the company’s headquarter in Dublin, Ireland. He has held prominent positions in large multi-nationals such as Krones AG, Genpact and has professionally grown to the ranks of being a global leader at one of the largest Fortune 500 companies.

Vineet Patil from the PGPM Class of 2007 was presented the Alliance Alumni Global Award 2023 for Outstanding Contribution to the Alma Mater. After few years of corporate stint in sales, he came along with his friends to invest in businesses around the digital space, gaming, e-commerce, laundry, and more recently gig-talent. He is currently the Co-founder & Business Owner of Voiz Works. His ventures have been profitable and have generated employment for many. In the process of building teams and leaders for his ventures, he always prioritized his Alma Mater, Alliance. Many students from Alliance have worked with him as interns and many got hired in permanent roles and now work in his ventures in leadership roles.

The awards are a true testament of success of Alliance alumni in different fields. Over 30,000 Alliance alumni in more than 55 countries across the globe are achievers and proudly are torchbearers of the legacy of leadership.
