Marketrix, the flagship club of Alliance School of Business, Alliance University organized a ‘Retail Mela’ on 20th November, 2019 at Central Campus. The event had a carnival theme and was an amalgamation of experiential learning and fun based activities. Students of the MBA program as part of their learning exercise, were asked to think of a business idea and explain the business model that would determine business intelligence leading to excellence in innovation and scalability. Stalls were set up by students where not only products or services were up for grabs but business acumen was highlighted. The event began with an inauguration by Dr. Anubha Singh, Vice Chancellor, Alliance University along with the Deans of schools and senior faculty members. This was followed by a stall visit where the concerned faculty members evaluated the business proposals by students and appraised them of how their idea could be shaped into a business venture in the near future. The evening also witnessed cultural programs that included dance, music and a fashion show based on two themes –women empowerment and climate change. The student volunteers and the faculty in-charge Dr. Sunil D’ Anto put up a show par excellence and this was an event to cherish by one and all. With a promise to make the event larger in 2020, curtains were drawn with enthusiasm, anticipation and great fervor.
