As a result of the pandemic and its severity, universities around the world had to quickly transition their learning programs online. Universities that have historically delivered primarily in-classroom instruction had to adapt to virtual learning environments while simultaneously ensuring that their students stay engaged and have access to the right curriculum. Coursera Inc. organized an insightful discussion between Dr. Anubha Singh, Vice Chancellor, Alliance University and Bibin Shivas, Head of Customer Success, APAC, Coursera through a webinar on June 30, 2020. The spotlight was on how Alliance University responded to the pandemic and successfully shifted their learning program online using Coursera for Campus.
Dr. Anubha Singh highlighted key success strategies as well as valuable lessons learned along the way that resulted in Alliance University learners logging over 8700 course completions, 75K hours of learning, and over 1000 learners with 4+ course completions.
The key takeaways of the discussion were:
- Best-in-class practices adopted by Alliance University in building an effective Coursera for Campus integrated academic curriculum to maintain continuity in learning for students.
- How Alliance faculty and administrators came together with the University leadership team to offer the right student support system for online learning.
