Alliance School of Business successfully organized a comprehensive and insightful five-day Faculty Development Program (FDP) on Contemporary Research Methods in Finance. Taking place from June 12th to June 16th, 2023, in a hybrid mode, this program, under the expert coordination of Dr. Nusrathunnisa, Associate Professor, and Dr. Akhil M. P., Assistant Professor from the Area of Finance and Accounting, Alliance School of Business, the FDP featured an esteemed lineup of speakers. Dr. Abdul Hameed, Associate Professor and Area Chair (Finance) at Alliance School of Business, delivered a thoughtful welcome address, setting the tone for the knowledge-sharing sessions.

The program showcased renowned speakers, including industry experts and distinguished academicians. Dr. Pratima Verma, Professor & Area Chair-OB & HR at Alliance School of Business, provided valuable insights into statistics and econometrics, emphasizing their crucial role in data analysis. She also discussed key considerations in conducting regression analysis using the E-Views Software.

Day 2 & 3 featured Dr. Girish B. N., Associate Professor and PG Coordinator in the Department of Commerce and Management at First Grade College and PG Centre, Chintamani, Karnataka. Dr. Girish covered time series econometrics modeling comprehensively, exploring its theoretical underpinnings and practical applications using E-Views software.

Day four featured an engaging session by Dr. T. Mohanasundaram, Associate Professor at M.S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bangalore. Dr. Mohanasundaram focused on panel data modeling, providing insights and demonstrating the applications of the Gretl software.

The final day featured the expertise of Dr. Dileep Kumar M., Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Full Professor of Business Management at Nile University of Nigeria, Abuja. Dr. Dileep Kumar's session explored the key terminologies, differences, and applications of Mixed Method Research in data analysis research work, broadening participants' research horizons. The program proved to be a fruitful and insightful experience, benefiting faculties, Ph.D. students, and upcoming research scholars across diverse domains.

Dr. Satyendra Pratap Singh, Professor of Finance at Alliance School of Business, concluded the event with a formal Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to the speakers, participants, and everyone involved in the success of the FDP.
