National Space Day

Honoring India’s significant milestone in becoming the fourth country to land on the moon, the National Space Day: Cosmic Quest held on August 31, 2024, at Alliance University was a grand success!

The event was graced by esteemed guests, including Ms. Pallavi Mohapatra, retired helicopter pilot, Indian Air Force, and Dr. Murthy Remilla, Head of the Human Spaceflight Group, ISRO - Indian Space Research Organization’s Mission Gaganyaan.

Over 1,800 students from more than 50 schools participated in nine space-themed competitive events spanning quizzes, debates, art contests, model-making, and presentations.

We congratulate all winners and participants for their enthusiasm and spirit of inquiry. Thought-provoking insights, incredible talent, and a hub of ideas were recognized and exchanged over the course of the day.

The inventive designs, thoughtful solutions for space challenges, and captivating stories about space exploration have demonstrated the positive future of India’s space program and the enduring ambition of expanding humanity’s footprint in the cosmos.

We hope to conduct many more events in the future that will serve as the crucible and launchpad for India’s youth to explore their potential and cultivate future leaders of innovation and advancement.
