Alliance University is a private university established in Karnataka by State Act No. 34 of 2010. The university is jointly recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi, and the Bar Council of India (BCI).

Alliance School of Law
Alliance School of Law, Alliance University, is approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI), New Delhi. The school has been ranked 25th among the top law schools in India by the NIRF Rankings 2023.
The Alliance School of Law offers two five-year, integrated undergraduate courses in law, viz., Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Law Honors [BA. LL.B. (Hons.)], and Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Law Honors [BBA. LL.B. (Hons.)], as well as a 3-year LLB course that has been carefully crafted and designed to prepare its graduates for rewarding careers in various roles and responsibilities in legal service organizations.
Alliance School of Law also offers a full-time, one-year Master of Law (LL.M.) degree with specializations in Constitutional and Administrative Law, Corporate and Commercial Law, Intellectual Property Law, Criminal and Security Law, Taxation Law, and Legal Pedagogy and Research to develop strong research expertise in law and legal principles. Alliance School of Law also offers a Ph.D. programme.
The Law School has established various centres for advanced legal studies and research to facilitate engagements with various sections of society for deliberations over a variety of socio-legal issues through initiatives such as Conferences, Seminars, Workshops, Books, Journals, Blogs, and more.
Overview
At Alliance School of Law, we continuously strive for excellence in Legal Research. In pursuit of this goal, we are organizing the 3rd International Conference on Law and Social Transformation (ICLS-2024) with the theme 'The Contemplation of Law and Sustainable Development Goals' on September 28, 2024. This will be an annual event in the years to come.
The theme encompasses the intersection of law, social transformation, and sustainable development. It underscores the pivotal role of legal frameworks and innovation in driving societal change towards sustainable futures. Topics could include the evolution of legal systems to address environmental challenges, the role of human rights in sustainable development, the promotion of green economies through legal mechanisms, and the empowerment of marginalized communities through legal advocacy of sustainability.
The conference will explore how legal innovation can effectively navigate the complex landscape of social transformation, fostering collaboration among legal experts, policymakers, activists, and scholars to pave the way for a more equitable, resilient, and sustainable world.

Alliance School of Law is providing a forum for the discussion of well-researched papers through the International Conference on Law and Social Transformation (ICLS-2024). Faculty members, Judicial Officers, Advocates, Research Scholars, and Students, among others, are invited to submit quality research articles in the given areas.
Paper Specifications
Abstract:
Not more than 300 words and a minimum of five relevant keywords.
Paper:
Co-authorship is permitted for a maximum of one author. However, both authors need to register separately. In the case of co-authorship, at least one author must attend the conference to present the paper. No proxy presentations are allowed. Both the author and co-author need to pay separately.
Maximum Length:
6,000 words, including the title / cover page and references.
Margins:
1" on all sides.
Regular Font:
Times New Roman, 12 points, line spacing 1.5 justified.
Title Font:
Times New Roman, 14 points, bold, line spacing of 1.5.
Footnotes:
Times New Roman, font size 10 with a spacing of 1.0.

Similarity:
Should not exceed 15%.
Selected research papers will be published in edited book form (Lex-Et-Mutatio) with an ISBN. Two of the best research papers and one of the best presentations from each track will receive awards. However, papers not complying with the guidelines given above will not be accepted for publication.
