FDP Overview

A five-day hybrid mode Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Recent Advancements in Science and Technology” will be held from March 6-10, 2023 at Alliance University, Anekal, Bengaluru. The program will be done in three sessions per day, (will commence at 9.30 AM and end at 03:30 PM) Detail of the session. The distinguished speakers and subject experts will impart their knowledge to motivate and mentor the present postgraduates, research scholars, and students, along with faculty across various institutions.

The FDP will encourage the participants to stimulate critical thinking and ignite their curiosity and discussion among faculties. The FDP provides a platform for postgraduates, research scholars, students, and faculty members to enrich their scientific and technological knowledge and teaching skills in the field of science and technology. The FDP provides participants with a better insight into the recent advancement in the field of science and technology. The program broadly focuses on enhancing functional area expertise, improving one’s classroom performance in the trending topics of science and technology, and enriching the ability for conducting meaningful research. The FDP centralized on the latest technologies in the interface of Engineering, Chemistry, and Physics.

The FDP program will be conducted by International and nationally renowned professors, eminent scientists, and Industrial expertise, mainly from universities of national importance Oxford University, ISRO, IISC, IIT, NIT, BHU, JNU and Industry (Biotech Vision Care Pvt. Ltd) have been invited to deliver the lectures in the program. Postgraduates, research scholars, and students, along with faculty across various institutions with background knowledge in science and technology are urged to attend the FDP to augment their horizon of knowledge and receive an e-certificate on successfully completing the entire five-day FDP.

Alliance University

Department of Science

Department of Basic Science was established in the year 2012 consisting of physics and chemistry. The department conducts foundation courses that support all the engineering disciplines at the undergraduate level in various domains of Physics and Chemistry. The department is engaged in imparting quality education and focused research. Research areas of interest include polymer nanocomposites, coatings, food packaging, shape memory polymers, corrosion study, drug delivery, green composites, self-healing composites, laser spectroscopy, energy storage materials, membrane technology, water chemistry and purification, medicinal chemistry, etc. The department is dedicated to the betterment of the student community and the advancement of science and technology.

Department of Mechanical Engineering

The Mechanical Engineering program at Alliance University conveys an instructive program of study that equips its alumni to become scholarly pioneers in the industry, government, and the scholarly community. Graduates in mechanical engineering are adept at designing innovations and technological advancements in the high technology areas of mechanical systems, robotics, nanotechnology and mechatronics, and are renowned for their generalist engineering expertise. Choosing and pursuing a degree course in mechanical engineering—one of the oldest and broadest engineering branches—provides graduates with an opportunity to acquire knowledge and expertise that can be applied to the various branches of engineering. At the Alliance College of Engineering and Design, the B. Tech. in Mechanical Engineering degree is crafted with a high emphasis on the design aspects of mechanical engineering: tool and die design, industrial robotics, gears and cams as well as oil hydraulics and pneumatics.
