Mr. Suman Banerjee

Prof. Suman Banerjee holds a Master of Design degree from the National Institute of Design (NID), Ahmedabad with specialization in Film & Communication Design. He has lived in various parts of the country and has been actively involved in art & cultural activities like painting, sculpture, theatre, etc.

Prof. Suman has worked in various capacities as an academician and administrator at various institutions in India and abroad. He has been a faculty of design at various institutes and has also headed the department of design in many of them. He has also worked as Media Consultant and Designer with several Government & Non-Government organizations including The World Bank and has developed series of Documentaries on social issues.

As a design practitioner, Prof. Suman has worked with various Industries and Crafts clusters and with multi-material like clay, stone, wood, bamboo, metal, textile, and leather. Having multi-disciplinary experience of designing Exhibitions, Interiors, Furniture, etc., with extensive experience of Setting up of Design Institutions from developing Curriculum, Tutorial materials and Training facilities, like design studios and product development workshops. He has also designed several Magazines, Posters, Brochures, and Brand Identity campaigns for the organizations he worked for.
