Ms. Sonali Samal
Assistant Professor

Mrs. Sonali Samal is currently pursuing her Ph.D. at the National Institute of Technology Meghalaya in India. She holds her M.Tech degree from SOA University in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. Her academic and research interests span various fields, including cyber image analysis using AI and deep learning, image forgery detection, obscenity detection, biomedical image processing, and optimization algorithms. Throughout her master's and doctoral studies, she has published several journal papers, conference papers, and book chapters. She was recently awarded the prestigious Raman Charpak Fellowship in 2023, which has offered her the opportunity to conduct research at the LITIS lab, University of Rouen Normandy in France.

She was awarded the prestigious Raman Charpak Fellowship by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, in collaboration with the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of France. This fellowship provided her the opportunity to conduct a part of her Ph.D. research at the University of Rouen Normandy, France, from 16th May to 17th July 2024. This program facilitates collaboration between India and France, allowing Ph.D. scholars to gain valuable international research experience.
