Dr. Sujith P Surendran

Dr. Sujith P Surendran is a Lawyer and Academician. Currently, He is a Professor of Law at Alliance University School of Law, Bangalore. He was the Principal/Associate Dean at the Faculty of Law, PES University, and was also the Principal at ABBS School of Law, Bangalore. Prior to this He was Associate Professor and Coordinator of the Centre for Postgraduate Studies at the School of Law, Presidency University Bangalore, and has been an Assistant Professor at Alliance University, Bangalore. He was Assistant Professor for six years at the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies Dehradun. He has more than 10 years of experience in teaching law courses including business laws and taxation laws to LLB, LLM, and MBA students. He started his academic career as guest faculty of Corporate Finance Law at CUSAT in the year 2010. Enrolled as an Advocate in 2006 with the rolls of the Bar Council of Kerala and a member of the Kerala High Court Advocate Association. Has practiced before the Hon’ble High Court of Kerala and other subordinate courts before embracing a career in academics in the year 2010.

Academic Record

He has completed PhD from the University of Petroleum and energy studies, Dehradun in the area of Renewable Energy Law. Has done LL.M (Business Laws) from National Law School of India University (NLSIU) Bangalore, LL.B. From School of Legal Studies, Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT), Cochin and B. Com (Taxation) from SH College Thevara.

He has completed a Winter Course on International Taxation, at the Indian Society of International Law, New Delhi, and a Training Program on dispute resolution by the Mediation Centre, Santacruz County, California at the National Law School of India University, Bangalore.
