Dr. Shashank Awasthi

Assistant Professor

Alliance College of Engineering and Design

Shashank Awasthi, completed his BE degree from SVERIs College of Engineering Pandharpur, Solapur University and masters from North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST) Arunachal Pradesh, a Deemed-to-be-University under MoE, Govt. of India both from Dept. of Electronics and Communication Engineering.  In pursuit of further education, he earned his PhD degree at iCAS lab from National Institute of Technology (NIT) Arunachal Pradesh under the Visvesvaraya PhD Scheme, MeitY, Government of India. His research concentrated on optoelectronics and reversible logics, with a particular emphasis on using photon energy to configure optical reversible logics through optical switches which eventually helps to reduce heat loss from traditional logics.

Throughout the course of his research, he examined many aspects of designing reversible logic gates and arithmetic circuits such as reversible multiplexers, reversible decoders, reversible adder/subtractors, reversible NOR gates etc. His academic journey encompasses various fields which includes wireless communication, reversible logic design, optoelectronics, non-linear optics, interferometer switches and optical switches and these courses considerably aided his knowledge development in the field of electronics and photonics engineering. His work experience is three years which includes both teaching and research.
