Dr. Shailesh Kumar is an experienced academic professional with over 13 years of teaching and 6 years of research experience in Computer Science and Engineering. He was serving as an Associate Professor in the Department of CSE at GCEM, Bangalore, where he has also held administrative roles, such as CSE in-charge Head of Department and Admission and Marketing Head. His teaching repertoire includes subjects like finite automata, C, C++, Java, Data Structures, Operating Systems, and more. Dr. Shailesh Kumar holds a Ph.D. from J.J.T Rajasthan, completed in 2018, and a Master's in Computer Science from S.S.I.T Tumkur. His contributions to academia extend beyond teaching, as he has coordinated various departmental activities, overseen research initiatives. He is actively involved in guiding research students, with 2 students currently under his supervision and 5 having already completed their Ph.D. under his guidance. He has been a key figure in organizing workshops, addressing accreditation processes, and enhancing student outcomes through curriculum development and research collaborations. Dr. Shailesh Kumar has also published extensively, with SCOPUS-indexed papers and additional works in UGC and other journals. His research interests include cybersecurity, IoT, blockchain, and machine learning, as reflected in his numerous publications. He has been recognized for his efforts with awards, including the Best Teaching Award in 2019-20, and holds a patent for a smart autonomous wheelchair. Passionate about teaching and research, Dr. Shailesh Kumar aims to lead a reputable institution, continuing to contribute to the fields of education, research, and industry collaboration. His technical skills span multiple programming languages, operating systems, fine automata and project management, making him a versatile academic leader.
Dr. Shailesh Kumar has presented papers at several national and international conferences, focusing on cutting-edge issues like cyber-physical systems, online education challenges, and the impact of Industry 4.0 on various sectors.

He has been invited to deliver guest lectures at renowned institutions such as JIT Bangalore, RNSIT Bangalore, and RVCE Bangalore, further establishing his reputation as a thought leader in computer science education. His active involvement in workshops demonstrates his commitment to continuous learning and professional development. He has participated in and organized workshops on topics ranging from algorithm design to NBA accreditation guidelines.
Awards and Patents:
Recognizing his contributions to education, Dr. Kumar was honored with the Best Teaching Award for the academic year 2019-20. Additionally, he holds a patent for a "Smart Autonomous Wheelchair for Visually Impaired Persons," published in 2021, showcasing his innovative approach to solving real-world problems through technology.
