Dr. Sakeena Hassan teaches Gender and Caste at Centre of Excellence. She has completed her Doctorate from University of Kashmir, Hazaratbal Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir on “Political Economy of reforms and Corruption in India since 1990”,(2015). She hold an MPhil Degree from University of Kashmir, Hazaratbal Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir on “Debates on Judicial Activism in India”,(2011). She has M.A in Political Science from Department of Political Science University of Kashmir.

- Attended one week workshop in Research Methodology on AVM as a tool in Research Methodology, Organized by ISID, New Delhi from February 13-18 2017.
- Attended one day "State Level Workshop on Juvenile Justice 2013", organised by Department of Law, University of Kashmir on 29 March 2014.
- Attended one week workshop in Research Methodology on Qualitative Methods & Techniques in Social Sciences Research, organized by ICSSR, U Chandigarh, from March 19–24 2012.
- Presented a paper titled “Violence against Women and Human rights in India”, organized by Department of Women Education (Maulana Azad National Urdu University, Hyderabad) and Indian Council of Social Science Research on March 8th -9th
- Attended one week workshop in Research Methodology for Research Scholars in social science, organized by UGC-Academic Staff College, University of Kashmir from 21st February 2012.
