Dr. Lopa Mandal has earned her M.Tech in IT and a Ph.D. in Engineering from Jadavpur University, Kolkata. She boasts an extensive professional background in teaching, research, collaboration, and leadership within esteemed academic institutions and the industry, all in the realm of Computer Science.
Her research pursuits span a wide array of domains including artificial intelligence, data analytics, distributed and cloud computing, natural language processing, and learning technologies. Central to her research is a resolute commitment to harnessing artificial intelligence methodologies to tackle societal challenges, particularly in the realm of education. Her primary objective is to enhance the efficacy of learning by extending standardized and personalized teaching methods to diverse learner populations. These learners exhibit varying levels of knowledge, distinct learning styles, emotional states, and diverse social backgrounds.
Dr. Mandal has authored numerous research papers featured in nationally and internationally acclaimed peer-reviewed journals and conferences. Her involvement extends to editorial capacities, where she has edited both national and international books, journals, and magazines. Furthermore, she has actively contributed as a Technical Program Committee member and session chair for various international conferences. She also holds positions on editorial and review boards for international conferences and journals. Her affiliations include being a Life Member of both the Indian Statistical Institute and the Indian Society for Technical Education.
