Dr. George Easaw

Dr. George Easaw is a Mechanical Engineering graduate from Govt. College of Engineering, Trivandrum in 1986. He worked with Cochin Port Trust and MRF tyres in Plant Engineering and Maintenance functions. In 1989 he quit industry to do a PG degree in Industrial Engineering from the Govt. College of Engineering, Goa. He has been in academics since then. In 1998 he went to IIT Bombay for a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research and defended his thesis in the area of optimization and analysis of performance measures in multi echelon supply chains. He worked in the Xavier Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship as an Associate Professor and Associate Dean, with T John College as Director of Management Principal and since 2012 is with Alliance University as Professor in the area of Operations Management.

He has attended and presented and published papers at workshops, seminars, conferences and journals in the area of Information Systems, Operations Research and guided PG projects in the area of Industrial Engineering. He has 25 years of experience in teaching in Engineering Colleges and Business Schools and Industry. He has earlier done workshops and classes for practicing professionals from industry in the area of Industrial Engineering and Total Quality Management. Dr. George Easaw writes extensively on General / Industrial / Operations Management related topics through his web log at BlogSpot. Having come from industry, Dr. Easaw is very enthusiastic in maintaining strong linkages with the industry. He takes interest in organizing and conducting industry workshops on various Industrial Engineering and Operations Management topics for the industry practitioners.
