Dr. Farook Abdullah Sultan

Dr. Farook Abdullah Sultan is an accomplished academician and researcher currently serving as an Assistant Professor in Operations Management at Alliance School of Business, Alliance University, Bengaluru.
Dr. Sultan recently completed his Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden (2022–2024). He earned his Ph.D. from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani (2018-22), focusing on the design of a Surimi Value Chain in India through a supply chain lens. Additionally, he holds a Master’s in Advanced Manufacturing from Sastra University, Thanjavur, and a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from B.S. Abdur Rahman University, Chennai.
Dr. Sultan has an extensive teaching and mentoring experience across engineering and management disciplines. Dr. Sultan previously served as an Assistant Professor at Narsee Monjee Institute of Management and was a visiting researcher at SINTEF Ocean, Norway. His approach to education emphasizes practical insights and innovative problem-solving techniques.
Dr. Sultan's research interests include Sustainable Supply Chain Management, Circular Economy, and Reverse Logistics, with a focus on driving impactful solutions for industries such as the Indian seafood sector. His recent work integrates systems thinking to evaluate the influence of technological advancements such as autonomous transport on logistics systems, aligning academic innovation with real-world application.
