Dr. C Venkatesh

Professor

Alliance College of Engineering and Design

Dr. Venkatesh Chenrayan has completed his undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Institution of Engineers (India), a post-graduate in Product Design and Development from Anna University (University first rank holder-Gold medallist), and a doctorate in Mechanical Engineering from Anna University. He is more passionate about transforming the students into industry-ready technocrats and applied research.  His broad research areas include polymer and metal matrix composites, tribology, surface engineering, biodegradable nano-cutting fluids, biomedical materials, additive manufacturing, and mathematical modelling. He served at the Ethiopian Government University for the past 6 years, wherein he acquired research funding to the tune of Rs. 4,13,000 from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education under the technology transfer scheme. He has published nearly 54 research publications out of which 41 publications are SCI indexed distributed in Q1 and Q2 quartiles. He has a track record of 52 % of publications with a first author position.
