Dr. Bivitha Easo

Dr. Bivitha Easo is Assistant Professor in the Department of Language and Literature within the School of Liberal Arts. She holds a Doctoral degree and MPhil in Comparative Literature from the University of Hyderabad. She has served as a Guest Faculty at the Centre for Comparative Literature, University of Hyderabad and as a Research Assistant at the Anveshi Research Centre for Women’s Studies, Hyderabad.
Dr. Bivitha’s academic interest lie with community studies, minority discourse, children’s literatures and vernacular print cultures. Her current research focuses on vernacular Christianities and community formations in the South Indian contexts. Her research articles have been published in journals and edited volumes. She was one of the editors of Oxford University’s Malayalam-English bi-lingual dictionary project. She is also an aspiring translator between English and Malayalam.
