Dr. Sumant Kumar

Associate Professor

Alliance School of Liberal Arts and Humanities

Dr. Sumant Kumar obtained his M.Phil and Ph.D. degrees from the Centre for West Asian Studies, School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. He holds a B.A. (Hons.) degree in History from Vinoba Bhave University, Hazaribagh, and he has completed a PG Diploma in Journalism from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi.  Additionally, he has dual Master's degrees: one in Human Rights and Duties Education from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, and the other in Political Science from IGNOU.

Dr. Kumar has actively participated in numerous seminars and symposiums, presenting several papers related to his area of specialization. He has extensive teaching experience in Human Rights, Political Science, International Relations, and Law at the Central University of Jharkhand. His research and publications span a range of topics, including Human Rights, Women’s Rights, Tribal Rights, Child Rights, Indian Foreign Policy, Islam, and the West Asian region.
