Dr. Youngkwon Chung holds a D.Phil. From the University of Oxford. He received his education mostly overseas on several continents and has taught at universities in Korea. His doctoral research explored the religious and political interplay in legislative processes during the English Revolution.

Dr. Chung’s ongoing research interests include religious and political liberty as well as piety and politics in early modern England and Europe.

Dr. Chung is seeking to expand his research to incorporate the history of the industrial revolutions and British and India relations since the early modern times. Dr. Chung has taught courses on English history, select topics in western history, western historiography, and reasoning and writing in history. In his leisure time, he enjoys playing and watching soccer and table tennis.
