Dr. David H. Glass holds a Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics from Queen’s University Belfast, UK, an MA in Philosophy and a B.Sc. In Mathematics. He is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Computing at Ulster University in Northern Ireland, where he is part of the artificial intelligence research group.

Dr. Glass has research interest in areas that lie at the intersection of computer science, mathematics and philosophy of science. A key aspect of his work is on explanatory and Bayesian reasoning, though he also works on other topics in artificial intelligence and the mathematical modelling of complex systems, his work has found application in a range of areas including dementia research and COVID-19 modelling.

Dr. Glass has published over 100 papers in a wide range of journals including the Artificial Intelligence Review, Communications in Nonlinear Science and Numerical Simulation, Information Sciences, International Journal of Approximate Reasoning and Scientific Reports.
