The Department of Language and Literature, Alliance University, is celebrating the Indian Diaspora Day - Pravasi Bharatiya Divas on 6^th & 7^th January 2022 (online event). The Indian Diaspora spread across the world has most constructively contributed to arts, culture, literature, science, business, commerce, medicine, and politics, among other fields. The Government of India, to commemorate Mahatma Gandhi's arrival to Mumbai from South Africa in 1915 celebrates 9th January as Pravasi Bharatiya Divas. Reiterating the Government’s agenda to straddle ties with the Indian Diasporas across the world and celebrate their contributions, Alliance University has decided to recognize Indian expatriates and their contributions on the occasion of Pravasi Bharatiya Divas, 2022.

The University recognizes the constructive contribution of the Indian Diaspora and cordially invites participants to the grand celebrations of Pravasi Bharatiya Divas, 2022.
